Laser scanning in spatial planning provides a series of precise topographical information of the registered site along with its buildings and vegetation cover. Such data may be used for planning future construction projects, checking the execution quality of engineering facility (dams, bridges, road gradient), planning work in the event of construction disasters. On the basis of the acquired Point Cloud it is possible to generate precise 2D and 3D maps, Digital Elevation Model, simulate environmental risks (e.g. flooding the area), and create a database of a specific area, after classifying the Point Cloud.
